Grow North Welcomes New Executive Director

Grow North is proud to announce Doris McAllister has been named Executive Director of Grow North Regional Economic Development Corporation.

In this role, Doris is responsible for performing day-to-day operational duties of Grow North including promoting the organization to new and existing members, budget management, identifying long-term funding opportunities, and coordination of meetings, events, and other duties.

McAllister earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point. She started her career at Consolidated Papers, Inc. (now Verso) in Wisconsin Rapids, and was formerly employed as the Director of Workforce & Economic Development at Mid-State Technical College in Wisconsin Rapids, as the Business Services Director at the North Central Wisconsin Workforce Development Board, and as the Career Pathways Director at the University of Arkansas – Monticello in Crossett, Arkansas.

“I’m excited to bring my experience in and passion for workforce development to the organization,” McAllister said. “One of my goals going forward is membership. I’m excited to show businesses and organizations the value they get from partnering with Grow North. Really, it’s about collaboration. When we work together, we can really achieve anything. Through collaboration, regional economic development and local economic development can, and does, provide different dimensions to improving the overall economy.”

McAllister is married to Scott, and they have two adult children and four grandsons. She and her husband reside in Rhinelander with their two dogs.
